Between the Ball and the World at Fest Paranapiacaba
Between the Ball and the World, a short documentary by Jo Galvv, has been selected for the Festival de Cinema de Paranapiacaba 2026, a festival dedicated to celebrating and strengthening independent cinema from the Greater ABC region of São Paulo.
Taking place from 19–21 June 2026 in the historic village of Paranapiacaba, the festival will feature film screenings, workshops, debates, and cultural activities. Screenings will be held at Cine Lyra, one of the oldest cinemas in Brazil, reinforcing the connection between historical preservation and contemporary cinema.
Between the Ball and the World will be screened on 20 June 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cine Lyra.
The festival also expands beyond Paranapiacaba through itinerant screenings at Santo André’s educational centers (CESAs) and parallel activities at Espaço CASA, headquarters of the Escola Livre de Cinema e Vídeo de Santo André (ELCV).
