Between Endings Selected for Prisma Queer Net Works 2026

Between Endings (Entre Fins), a feature film project written and directed by Jo Galvv, has been selected for the 2026 edition of Prisma Queer Net Works, an initiative dedicated to strengthening LGBTQIAPN+ audiovisual production in Brazil.

Developed from the short film Break Up & Co. (Pé na Bunda S/A), the feature expands the story’s universe, following Elton, a young Black queer Brazilian man who works ending relationships over the phone while dreaming of becoming an opera singer in Germany. The project explores identity, intimacy and the possibilities of imagining a different future.

Prisma Queer is an initiative dedicated to the development, professional networking and internationalization of LGBTQIAPN+ audiovisual projects in Brazil. In its second edition, held in conjunction with the 50th São Paulo International Film Festival, the programme brings together filmmakers, producers, critics and industry professionals through professional development activities, project development initiatives, pitching sessions and business meetings.

The 2026 programme includes Brazilian feature films in development, audience development initiatives for films in post-production, and activities for film critics, creating opportunities for professional exchange, new partnerships and the advancement of queer cinema.

As a selected project, Between Endings will participate in pitching sessions and business meetings on October 20 at Centro Cultural São Paulo (CCSP), in São Paulo. The selection provides an opportunity for the project to connect with industry professionals, explore potential partnerships and advance its next stages of development.

The 2026 edition is sponsored by Spcine and the São Paulo City Government, with support from Bixa.Lab, #LINK – Documentary Film Industry Meeting, Projeto Paradiso and Queer Palm, and organized by Agalma Filmes.
