Between the Ball and the World, Documentary Short by Jo Galvv, Selected for the 4th Cine RO – Rondônia Film Festival

The documentary short film Between the Ball and the World, a solo project by Jo Galvv, has been selected for the 4th Cine RO – Rondônia Film Festival, joining a program dedicated to showcasing Brazilian independent cinema and contemporary audiovisual narratives.

Written, directed, produced, edited, shot, and with sound design by Jo Galvv, the film follows a young woman whose life revolves around football. Observed at home as she practices freestyle and reflects on her relationship with the game, she reveals how a single repeated gesture can become a way of inhabiting the world.

Through a minimalist and intimate approach, Between the Ball and the World explores the connection between body, movement, and personal expression, transforming an everyday practice into a meditation on presence and belonging.

The selection at Cine RO marks another step in the film’s festival journey, bringing its story to new audiences and contributing to the circulation of documentary cinema across different regions.
